At Crispus Attucks Children's Center, it is our top priority to ensure the safety and health of our students, staff, and teachers. Due to that fact, changes have been made to keep everyone safe against COVID-19.
Families are not allowed inside of any buildings at CACC, only our students. Drop-off takes place at both main door entrances between 7:30 and 9:30am. Temperatures will be taken each morning at the door before children enter the building. We also take the temperature of every staff & teacher each morning before they enter the building. If any person's temperature is 100 degrees or above, they will be denied entrance to the school. This is to prevent the spread of any sickness. Each child is required to apply hand sanitizer on both hands when they enter the building, and are required to wash their hands upon entering their classrooms. When children are being picked up in the afternoon, parents are to call the school to notify us, preferably a few minutes in advance, that they are here or approaching, and teachers will bring child(ren) out one at a time.
Wearing a mask is required of all staff (covering the mouth and nose entirely), teachers and children who are 2 years and older at all times.
In an effort to keep child care centers open, CACC will be getting support from the Governor’s office on testing kits for staff and children coming soon so child care centers do not have to closed due to covid-19. Please click here to read more.
It is imperative that if you or your child are experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms, please see a medical doctor immediately before coming to the Center. This will help us protect everyone here at CACC.
