Amanda Gorner is the Executive Director at Crispus Attucks Children’s Center (CACC). Amanda began her career as an infant-toddler teacher and has nearly 30 years of experience supporting children and their families in early education and care.  In her role, Amanda is responsible for leading CACC, its business plan, overseeing day-to-day center activities, developing organizational culture, supervising senior administrative staff, reporting on the operating budget, directing organizational strategy, and continually providing the children at CACC with the best experience possible. Amanda joined CACC on July 31, 2023. Prior to CACC, she was the Director of Finance and Administration at Newton Community Education in Newton, MA. Before her position at Newton Community Foundation, Amanda worked at various early education and Head Start programs, including Family ACCESS in Newton, MA, The Dimock Center in Roxbury, MA, and Baker-Ripley. in Houston, TX.  Amanda is a member of the Timothy Smith Network Board. Amanda holds a BA from Smith College. She is MA EEC Preschool and Infant-Toddler Lead Teacher, Director I and II certified, Brazelton Touchpoints Approach trained, and a certified CLASS Observer (Infant, Toddler, and Pre-K levels). She also has deep experience with MA licensing and NAEYC accreditation standards. The proud parent to five daughters, Amanda believes that every child and family deserves access to high quality early education and care.
